Aspen Games is a small indie studio based in Austin, Texas committed to creating immersive experiences. They are a not-for-profit startup focusing on creating ecocentric games. Aspen Games's first release was the adventure healing quest Patchwork Beast, in which players embark on a journey to battle environmental deterioration due to industrialization. They are currently working on polishing this experience with feedback interactions from their playerbase before starting their next adventure.

History

Aspen Games was founded in 2023 in Austin, Texas. Students Sean Lewis, Demi Hu, and Tony Wang met while collaborating on a project for a Game Design and Development course at the University of Texas at Austin. After more than a semester of working together to create interactive experiences, they decided to turn their passion for game development into a real indie game company together, and founded Aspen Games.
